  • Navina
  • United States

Job Description

Navina is a fast-growing, award-winning AI startup revolutionizing patient care. Recognized as a Calcalist “Top 50 Startup,” Best in KLAS for Clinician Digital Workflow, and MedTech’s “Best Overall Informatics Solution,” we are on a mission to transform the way clinicians interact with patient data right in the moment of care.

As the only clinical AI copilot built specifically for the entire value-based care workflow, Navina helps clinicians deliver proactive, empathic care while reducing administrative burden. Trusted by top medical groups across the U.S., our platform drives improved outcomes, better financial performance, and higher clinician satisfaction. The company recently raised $55 million in series C by Goldman Sachs.

Navina is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Implementation and Integration team. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of project delivery, technical integration, and healthcare operations. You will own the planning, coordination, and successful execution of complex customer implementations, bridging deep technical knowledge with structured project management to deliver on-time, high-quality go-lives across health plans, provider organizations, and value-based care programs.

Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end project management for customer implementations, from kickoff through go-live and stabilization.
  • Lead and manage large, complex health system and hospital implementations involving multiple stakeholder groups, phased rollouts, and enterprise-scale technical environments.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, risk registers, and status reports for multiple concurrent implementations.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve blockers, dependencies, and risks before they impact timelines.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and steering committee reviews with both internal stakeholders and customer leadership.
  • Ensure all implementation deliverables meet Navina's quality standards and customer acceptance criteria.
  • Manage scope change requests and communicate impacts on timeline, resources, and budget to all parties.

Technical Execution & Epic Expertise

  • Serve as the primary technical project owner for Epic EMR implementations, managing the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through interface activation and go-live.
  • Demonstrate deep, working knowledge of Epic's architecture, integration points, and configuration requirements including user access controls, FHIR API enablement, SMART on FHIR/OAuth2, and interface workflows.
  • Translate Epic-specific technical requirements into actionable project tasks, clearly communicating scope, dependencies, and risks to both customer IT teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee data validation, interface testing, and environment configuration across Epic and other EMR platforms (eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth), partnering with Implementation Engineers to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Contribute to process documentation, runbooks, and playbooks that standardize Epic implementation delivery and improve scalability.

Healthcare Domain Expertise

  • Apply working knowledge of health plan operations, provider workflows, risk adjustment, and quality management (HEDIS, Stars, RAF) to guide implementation decisions and stakeholder conversations.
  • Navigate the operational and regulatory nuances of value-based care environments, including ACO, MSSP, and payer-provider alignment contexts.
  • Advise customers on best practices for integrating Navina into their clinical and administrative workflows given their specific organizational model.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the primary project owner and single point of accountability for customers during the implementation phase.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders at all levels, from IT analysts and Epic build teams to C-suite executives and governance committees.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to ensure smooth handoff from implementation to ongoing account management.
  • Advocate for customer needs internally by surfacing feedback to Product, Engineering, and Medical teams.

Requirements

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, implementation management, or program management roles.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder technology implementations in healthcare settings. This includes large health systems and hospitals (required).
  • Hands-on experience implementing or managing Epic EMR customers, with a strong understanding of Epic's technical requirements, integration architecture, and configuration workflows (required).
  • Hands-on experience working with health plan, provider, risk adjustment, and/or quality management programs (HEDIS, Stars ratings, RAF scoring, or equivalent).
  • Background in health tech, healthcare SaaS, EHR/EMR vendors, health system consulting, or a payer/provider organization's IT or operations function (required).

Technical Skills

  • Deep, working knowledge of Epic's architecture, integration points, and technical requirements—including FHIR API enablement, SMART on FHIR/OAuth2, user access provisioning, and interface build and activation.
  • Familiarity with additional EMR/EHR platforms (eCW, Athenahealth, Veradigm, Cerner) and their integration architectures.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and interoperability concepts: HL7, FHIR, CCDA, ADT feeds, and API-based integrations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, integration diagrams, and data mapping documents.
  • Proficiency with project management and CRM tools (Smartsheet, Jira, Salesforce, Confluence, or equivalents).
  • Comfort working with data in spreadsheets or SQL environments to support validation, reporting, and issue tracking.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without losing detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to synthesize technical complexity into clear, executive-ready narratives.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and hold stakeholders accountable across organizational boundaries.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity; able to create structure and clarity in fast-moving, evolving environments.
  • Customer-first mindset with a track record of building trusted long-term relationships with enterprise clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification (Project Management Professional) — a plus, not required.
  • Epic certification in one or more relevant modules or integration areas.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales or solution scoping conversations in a healthcare SaaS context.
  • Exposure to value-based care models: ACO, MSSP, capitation, or payer-provider joint ventures.
  • Experience working in or alongside a Customer Success organization in a SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered clinical solutions or clinical decision support tools.
